I’m Sarah Choi.
I’ve Spent a Lifetime Learning
What Makes People Change.
For more than three decades, health, fitness, movement and human performance have been part of my life. But my work today goes far beyond exercise. I help people understand the connections between their health, nutrition, movement, behavior and everyday lives and turn that understanding into changes they can actually sustain.
The Experiences That Shaped the Coach.
My work today is the result of more than one chapter. Athletics, coaching, competition, education and years of working with people have each changed the way I understand health and transformation.
Athlete
Movement taught me discipline, resilience and how closely performance is connected to recovery, consistency and self-awareness.
Trainer & Coach
Coaching taught me that knowing what works is only part of the equation. People also need to understand how to make it work for them.
Competitor
Competition deepened my understanding of preparation, discipline and what the body can accomplish when training and recovery work together.
Student
Curiosity pushed me beyond fitness and into the study of behavior, communication, nutrition, metabolic health and the complexity of everyday life.
Health Coach
Health coaching brought those experiences together, allowing me to look beyond isolated habits and help people understand the connections.
Transformatrix
Today, Transformatrix reflects that evolution: understand the person, connect the variables and build a strategy that can evolve with real life.
Not a résumé. An evolution.
Health Is Biological. Behavior Is Human.
My education did not begin in health science. I studied languages, linguistics and intercultural communication, fields that taught me how profoundly culture, communication, family, beliefs and identity influence human behavior.
I speak and teach across five languages: English, Spanish, French, German and Korean.
That background influences the way I coach. I listen carefully. I ask questions. I don’t assume that the same strategy will fit two people simply because they share a diagnosis, goal or age.
Before I build a strategy around the body, I want to understand the person living in it.
A Philosophy Built for Real Life.
Three principles that guide how I work with every individual.
Understand.
AWARENESSI want you to understand the reasoning behind the changes you’re making, not simply follow instructions.
Integrate.
CONNECTIONNutrition, movement, sleep, stress, medications, behavior and daily life don’t exist in isolation. I look for the connections.
Adapt.
REAL LIFEA strategy only works if it can survive real life. We observe what happens, learn from it, and adjust.
Transformation Is Something You Participate In.
I don’t believe meaningful change comes from being told what to do. It comes from learning to understand yourself, making deliberate choices and taking ownership of the process.
My role is to educate, challenge and support you. Your role is to participate, ask questions, make an effort and learn from what happens along the way.
I don’t expect perfection. I expect curiosity, commitment and a willingness to adapt. The goal isn’t to make you dependent on a coach. It’s to help you become more capable of guiding your own health.
A Few Things That Are Very Sarah.
Beyond the experience, education and professional titles, there are a few things that say a lot about who I am and how I approach my work.
I will probably ask you “why?” more than once.
I believe strength matters at every age.
I would rather teach you than make you dependent on me.
I am still a student. I expect to remain one for life.
I believe your health strategy has to work in your actual life, not somebody else’s.
I don’t expect perfection. I do expect participation.
